Try to look around your yard and notice if your trees still look as great as they used to. If they do, that is wonderful, but if they don't, then that is a matter of concern. You may need tree service to ensure your trees survive the whole year without decaying. You might be surprised if we tell you that tree care is essential for the trees in your yard. That is why you should see assistance from tree service regularly to properly care for your trees.

Trimming Services
Tree trimming can be tricky, especially if you don't know anything about it, to begin with. If you make one wrong cut, your tree can suffer a great deal and die. To make sure that your tree is getting the right treatment, contact a reputable tree service with an in-house certified arborist to perform trimming on your trees. They know the right timing and the right method to cut your tree. Their knowledge is backed by the number of years they have spent in service, so you can relax, and be confident that your tree is in great hands.

Disease Control
You can't tell whether your tree is diseased or not if you don't know what signs to look for. Your tree may look good on the outside, but it can be suffering from a disease on the inside. Trees can be vulnerable to diseases and infection; that is why it would help a lot if you allow the experts to inspect your tree and assess their health.

A Recent Storm
Storms can affect the structural soundness and the overall health of your tree. Even if your tree looks healthy and sturdy, it is nothing in the face of a severe storm. If your tree is storm damaged, it should be removed before it falls onto your roof and injure your family. Remember, tree removal is not for the amateurs because of the dangers it entails. Professional tree removal companies will examine the extent of the damage first before making any move to ensure safety. Let the experts handle this risky situation because this is what they do best.

Your Tree is Beyond Repair
It is heartbreaking to see a once tall and beautiful tree lose its health and get consumed by disease. However, if this is the case for your tree, there is no other way but to have it removed. Tree removal can be extremely dangerous, and it entails planning and proper execution. If you don't know anything about tree removal, you better leave the job to a professional tree removal company that has the experience and the equipment. You may be putting yourself in great danger if you attempt to get rid of that irreparable tree.

Tree service checklist
Selecting a quality, professional tree service company need not be difficult, or even time consuming.  However a few prudent steps are necessary when evaluating the best tree service in Virginia Beach to choose for your next tree care project.  Below are a few factors you should consider when making your decision.
  • Is the tree service company licensed and insured?  Licensing by the state of Virginia is required by all tree service contractors.  Ask them for licensing information or check with the state's licensing agency.  Additionally, all quality, professional tree service businesses should have two types of insurance: 1) generally liability insurance to cover any damage that may occur during the job; and 2) worker's compensation insurance to cover the tree service company's employees in case their is an accident causing injury.  If the tree service contractor lacks either of these policies, then you as the property owner will likely be liable for damages and injuries.
  • Is the tree service business qualified and credentialed?  There are several national/international associations that attest to the business's credentials to perform quality tree care.  These include the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the International Society of Arborists.  Both organization offer certifications, advanced training and generally guidelines every tree service company should follow.  Further, there is your local Better Business Bureau where you can check form membership, accreditation, and reviews.
  • Does the company provide a written estimate that details all the work proposed?   A written quote is must as is one that provide details as to the exact nature of the work and even the equipment to be used.  Without a written estimate, you expose yourself to price escalations after the job is complete.  Further, details in the estimate are require for you to properly compare estimates from competing companies.
  • Did you obtain at least 3 estimates?  It is very wise to get at least 3 estimates for the work you want done.  Each estimate may vary in approach, certainly price, and equipment used.  Further the quote may even vary on the scope of the work.  Comparing and contrasting these estimate will not only allow you to differentiate pricing but also ensure the work scopes are apples-to-apples.
  • Did you obtain references?  Ask for first-hand references from each company and ensure they are current (1-3 months old, never older).  Further, check online references from sources such as Yelp, Homeadvisor, Google, and Facebook.  Taking into consideration all these reference sources should provide you with an adequate picture of the company's quality.

Selecting a tree service company to perform tree removal or tree trimming doesn't have to be difficult if you following these guidelines.  Take your time and check down through these factors as your evaluate and make your decision.
